There are tons of ways to promote your products and services online.
The first step to growing a successful online business is to have a marketing strategy that supports your business goals. When creating your marketing plan, strive to do activities that will catch the attention of your audience and increase your reach. The goal is to get more visibility, more exposure, and make more sales.

When starting out, you do not have to implement every marketing strategy to promote your products. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Just pick 2 or 3 to start.

Social Media

1. Instagram: Update your Instagram profile with a direct link to your product’s landing page. Share pictures of your product with a call to action in the description. From Instagram, share your post on other sites like Facebook & Twitter.

2. Twitter: Tweet about your product/services on a regular basis. You could tweet the link alone with a call to action. Start a twitter chat and run contest. Pin a product-related tweet with a link to the post or product page at the top of your Twitter stream.

3. Facebook: Change your Facebook cover image to one that features your product. Run Facebook ads to promote your product/service to people who fall within a particular demographic. Do a flash giveaway on Facebook when most of your followers are online. Ask people to like, comment, or share your page.

4. Video Marketing: Live streaming is very popular now a days. It is a great way to interact with your audience in real time. Youtube, Facebook Live, and Instagram Live are just a few platforms to share fresh content, helpful tips, and product launches. Sharing live video helps your clients/customers feel more connected with you and your brand. Give your audience a glimpse of behind the scenes and how your product works.

5. Pinterest: Pin and share useful information that will add value to your target audience. Adding a URL link leading back to your product/service. Throw a Pinterest party and board contest to promote your products.

Landing Page/Product Page

6. Create a landing page for your product. Add an image and be clear of what the product is and what it does. Feature all of the benefits of the product and the problems it solve. Have a simple call to action and process for customers/clients to buy. Offer at least 2 different payment options, so customers can choose the ones they prefer.

7. Add social sharing buttons on the landing page. This would encourage site visitors to share your product with others in their social circles.

8. Include testimonials from others on the landing page. Share comments and reviews from satisfied customers who have actually purchased and used your product/services. This shows credibility.

9. Include the product image with a link to its landing page on your site’s home page and sidebar. The image should also include a call to action such as “Buy Now”.

10. Use affiliate marketing to get other people to market your products for a commission. The affiliate marketing space should be well organized with relevant banners, instructions and related code.

Blogging

11. Another way to get more visibility and traffic is to guest blog. Guest post on other blogs in your niche. Also, buy ad space on other related blogs.

12. Offer product related freebies on your blog, such as, checklists, workbooks, etc. Do flash sales of your product on certain days of the week during your launch.

13. Reach out to other influential bloggers and get them to share about the freebies you are offering on their blogs.

14. Join bundle sales where your product is offered at a discounted rate along with a host of many other related products.

15. Allow readers to share their personal stories on how they felt after using your product.

Email Marketing

16. Send out an email blast to all your existing email subscribers about your product/services. Since you have built a relationship with your list, it’s more likely they will be interested in buying.

17. Show your subscribers that you care by sending a special offer or a promotional code that you are not offering to the public.

18. Share testimonials from others. Educate your subscribers about how your product solves a problem and will help them improve in a particular area.

19. Some sites also sell ad space on their weekly newsletters.

20. Ask your buyers for feedback. This will get the interaction going and lead them to recommend your product to more people.
