When starting and building an online business, there are several things that needs to get done. From marketing…..driving traffic to your offer….connecting with new customers….. to….. consistently creating fresh new content.

We live in an increasingly visual world and the importance of creating content for your business has evolved. With so many task on the daily To-Do list, many business owners slack when it comes to content creation. Content can easily slip to the end of the To-Do’s if not prioritized. Creating useful content should be the core of your marketing.

Content is one of the best marketing methods to drive people to your website, blog, or offer. It is the ability to communicate your message very quickly via images and/or video. According to Wikipedia… Content Marketing is a form of marketing focused on creating, publishing, and distributing content for a targeted audience online. It is often used by businesses in order to:

  • Increase brand awareness or credibility
  • Create an online community
  • Increase online sales

When businesses add content marketing to their marketing strategy, the main focus should be the needs of the customer. Once you identify your customer’s need… create & design content in different forms such as text, video, or audio. This could be in the format of blog post, social media post, video, email newsletters, how-to guides, images, etc. This is a great way to attract new customers/clients to your business. Communicating with your customers and prospcts without selling.

What I mean by that is….

1st –Know your audience.  Who are you writing content for..  Who is in the need of the information from you. Know what they want and what they like.

2nd -Research the information that they need and become the go to person in your industry. What are they interested in? Do they like business, or do they like fashion, do they like fitness…and so on…

3rd-Add your personal touch, putting the information in your own words and craft it via text, audio or video.
