Social media has changed the way we communicate and interact with people.  Effective communication with your clients and prospects is the key to making your business successful.  People do business with who they know, like, and trust.  Like any other marketing, social media marketing takes some thought, time, and plan.

  • Entertain

Engage

Social media is a social platform. Engage and interact with your audience.  Listen and respond to questions. Use your status updates to share information. Share experiences, stories, pictures, & videos.   Make meaningful connection. Your target audience wants more than content; they want to make a human connection.  Ask questions… listen to what your audience has to say. Talking to people is always an effective way to market your business.

Educate

Know your niche market. Be helpful.  Engage your target audience through providing valuable information.  When an audience becomes educated they become engaged.  Make learning fun and exciting.

Entertain

There’s no business like show business. Grab your audience attention with humor.  Everyone loves a good laugh.  Find creative ways to help make your message come alive. Create an experience through story telling.

 

The main thing to remember when you are communicating about your business to others online is to always keep your audience in mind.  Build relationships, deliver value, and build trust.
