Online Business: How To Stay Motivated And Productive

By November 2, 2020Business

When building a successful business online, you have to stay focused and motivated. This will help to be productive while taking action. Motivation, enthusiasm, and persistence will keep you moving toward achieving your goals.

7 Tips To Help Stay Motivated And Productive

1. Stay Focused And Disciplined

I will be the first to admit that when I got started online, I was easily distracted with all of the bells and whistles online.  You know, those non producing activities such as scrolling down social media pages looking at the latest and greatest tech tools, tips and tricks to build an online business. At times, I found myself caught up going through training after training….. (during my work hours). When you no longer have a boss looking over your shoulder, you can easily get sucked into non income producing activities. When I realized how being distracted was affecting my income goal…. Focus and Discipline QUICKLY became my 1st priority.

2. Work On Your Mindset

Setup a personal development system that you can follow on a daily basis.  Listen to CD’s, MP3’s, Podcast, watch videos, read books.  Surround yourself with motivational, inspirational and educational information that is going to help you grow in business and life. This will help keep a positive attitude and focus driven.

3. Do Income Producing Activities First Part Of Your Day

I start my work day at 8am and immediately start my IPA’s.  The first part of the day is when my energy level is the highest and I am more focused and motivated to get stuff done.  Focus more on the activities that is going to produce income. This will be the task that generates traffic, create leads and make sales. I schedule all non-income producing activities in the later part of the day. Now, this tip may not work for everyone. Some of you may work better late at night when your house is quite and everyone is sleep.  Whatever is best for you, stick to the time that you schedule your work hours and take action.

4. Set Smart, Measurable & Achievable Goals

You are an entrepreneur and that means that you have made the decision to step out and take control of your own destiny. Set S.M.A.R.T. goals that you will like to accomplish. As long as you are moving forward in the right direction, you will get there. Don’t stress yourself out trying to impress others and reach someone else’s goals. Everybody has their own purpose and passions.  What is YOUR dreams, missions and goals? Build the business that YOU love by setting goals and work to accomplish them!

5. Stay Active -Exercise At Least 3 Times A Week

Exercise is extremely important. This will not only increase your energy and help you stay fit, but also enhance your creative juices. I created my weekly schedule to include exercise. I absolutely love dance fitness and tennis! So, I exercise and do what I enjoy at the same time.  Staying active can help you stress less and keep a smile on your face. 🙂

6. Do Not Procrastinate

Procrastination is a bad habit and the enemy of success. Every accomplishment starts after we take the first step. To be extraordinary and to build something great, we have to get out of our comfort zone. Keep a “Get It Done” attitude and be productive.

7. Take Care Of Yourself First

In order to give our best, serving and helping others, we must first take care of ourselves. Take time to refresh, rejuvenate and relax after your work day. Do the things that you enjoy such as taking mini vacations.  We work hard daily on building our business and our dream, but it wouldn’t be any good if we are not taking the time to love and take care of ourselves.
