5 P’s: Purpose, Passion, Plan, Persistent, People

By September 12, 2016June 28th, 2020Personal Development

I’ve discovered the principles that every successful person had to put into action in order to become high achievers in every area of their life.

Purpose – Passion – Plan – Persistent – People

1. Purpose

Your purpose is the meaning of why you do what you do. Unfortunately, this is the one thing you will have to discover on your own.  Oh, but when you do, watch out world.  You will become a person that’s unstoppable. This will be the gateway for you to live a life of fulfillment. Tap into your purpose so that you can achieve your highest potential.

Be clear about:

  • Who you are and Who do you want to become
  • What are your gifts & talents
  • Who do you serve (How do you add value to people)

Your career is what you are paid for; your calling is what you were created for. Align your calling and strengths with your career. Once you discover your purpose, go after it with gusto! You need Purpose & Direction.

2. Passion

Passion fuels your purpose.  When you are passionate about something, you wake up every morning excited about your work and making a difference in the lives of the people you are meant to serve.  Activate the best that is already planted on the inside of you.  What is your message?  What excites you and gives you spark?  Be energized and confident to share your gifts with the world. One thing I teach my clients is How to Turn Their Passions Into Profits. Oprah once said  “Passion is energy.  Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you”.

3. Plan

Every successful person I know lives and breathes by an action plan. What are you working toward?  Imagine an airplane pilot taking off and have no idea of his destination.  Pretty spooky huh?  I call that a major setup for disaster. Well, this is the same way it is when a person does not have a plan for their life.  Plan ahead and be clear on what you want to accomplish. Each and every step you take must move you toward your goal. Get your mindset in gear and align yourself with action steps.  I love the quote by Pablo Picasso, “Action is the foundational key to all success”.    Having a plan will help you be more productive throughout the year. Set specific goals then follow through.

Tips:

  • Create a life plan and business plan
  • Focus on your ultimate goal and vision
  • Put systems in place to help you get organized
  • Be intentional

Daily Success Habits. If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else plan.

4. Persistent

Never give up on your dreams. Champions do not give up when they are knocked down in the 1st round.  Get up, brush yourself off then keep it moving.  Be ambitious and determined to create the life you truly desire. Be persistent in eating healthy and sticking to a daily workout routine. Whether it’s walking, jogging, going to the gym, or joining a dance fitness classes. Be tenacious about staying healthy.

5. People

You need the right people and team in your life that will help propel you to the next level.  You can not do it all by yourself especially when you are trying to create results faster.  At some point in time, you will need the help of others to mastermind for creative ideas.  Surround yourself with people that are action takers, positive thinkers, and dream builders.  Jim Rohn once said that you are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most of your time with. If you are not currently where you want to be in life, it might be a wise idea to take a look at your inner circle. Surround yourself with people who are going to lift you higher.
