5 Ways To Make Fitness Fun

By April 30, 2015April 15th, 2023Fitness & Health

In order to live a Healthy life, we must take care of ourselves. Eat right and exercise. Daily exercise is a constant reminder that you are leveling up your life. If you are a business owner, it’s easy to forget that you have to take care of yourself too. Just like your business, your body needs care and attention in order to properly function. Leading a healthy lifestyle will benefit both you and your business in the long run as healthy people tend to be happier and more productive.

Exercise does not have to be boring.  I hear a lot of people say that they do not have time to exercise or they do not like to exercise at all. We must be clear on what exercise really is.  Exercise does not mean to just run on a treadmill for hours making you miserable.  Exercise is anything that elevates your heart rate and take your body outside of its normal comfort zone.  So, instead of saying, “I don’t like to exercise”, say, “I don’t like that particular type of exercise”.

Time to shake things up and try something new. It’s easy to find enjoyable, convenient activities.

5 Ways To Make Exercise & Fitness FUN

1. Dancing

There is a very good reason why I named this 1st. I absolutely love to dance. Dance Fitness is one of my favorite forms of workouts. When moving your body, you will be sweating within 5 minutes and having tons of fun at the same time. I enjoy all types of music. Workout at home or join a dance class… (the style of dance that you like & enjoy)…. have fun! Here are a few of my Dance Fitness videos.

2. Physical Activity: Move more in your daily life

If you are not ready to commit to a structured exercise program, think about physical activity as a lifestyle choice rather than a single task to check off your to-do list. Look at your daily routine and consider ways to sneak in activity here and there. Even very small activities can add up over the course of a day.

3. Focus on activities you enjoy

Enjoy outdoor activities such as playing tennis, golf, Frisbee, or even yard work or gardening. If you hate jogging, you won’t be able to maintain a jogging program no matter how good it is for you. On the other hand, if you love to swim, dance, or play tennis you’ll find it easier to stick with an exercise program that’s built around those activities.

4. Make exercise and fitness a priority

If you have trouble fitting exercise into your schedule, consider it an important appointment with yourself and mark it on your daily agenda. Commit to an exercise schedule for at least 3 or 4 weeks so that it becomes habit, and force yourself to stick with it. Even the busiest people can find a 10-minute slot to pace up and down stairs or take the dog for a walk.

5. Connect with other people that are also getting fit

Make exercise a social activity. Exercise can be a fun time to socialize with friends and working out with others can help keep you motivated. Water aerobics or a tennis club may be a perfect fit. Joining a social group will help build new habits. Make exercise and fitness fun & exciting.
